Is web design hard? I guess it depends on what you mean by that. Web development has a lot of facets to it. There’s CSS, HTML, Javascript, etc., etc. That’s the technical piece, the web development side.
Then there’s the more artistic side. Principles of design, user experience, that sort of thing.
Learning the technical side definitely takes some time. And the design element takes just as long. So yes, traditional web design is hard.

There are very few “easy” careers.

- you would enjoy it, and
- you could make enough money to support yourself,
then I think that probably answers your question.

If, on the other hand, you’re asking if you can learn enough web design to DIY your own web projects, then the answer is yes. Yes, you can.
Check out tools like Unbounce, ClickFunnels, Instapage and other drag-and-drop editors. If you’re using WordPress, there are drag-and-drop plugins like Divi and Elementor that do the same thing for WordPress sites.
So choose your weapon, and then learn how to build a sales funnel from scratch.
